68/365:
As I sat with my morning coffee,
considering James’s exhortation to be patient in trials, my hubby kissed me
goodbye headed to work.
Seven minutes later this happened…
Then, thanks to my wonderful/amazing friend’s roadside assistance package, this happened…
There she goes... in all her glory…
Afterwards, amazing-roadside-assistance-friend
and I took another friend some happy birthday flowers… :)
Then, just as I was about to
dive into an after lunch project, my mother-in-law called to see if I could
possibly bring by her spare key as she had mistakenly locked herself out of the
house and her hubby was out of town.
Slight problem… her key was
tucked safely away in my truck (not the problem), but the truck was currently
in San Diego with Matt (problem).
However, mom did have one
window that happened to be unlocked; it was approximately 7x16 inches… :/
I said I’d give it a whirl.
Sadly, as I was pulling the
motorcycle out of the garage my foot slipped on the epoxy and the bike crashed
on top of me and this happened…
Thankfully, my neighbor was
able to help me get the bike upright again…
Mom was not joking about the
size of the window...
I had to go in feet first
because the window was up so high…
And this little operation may
have required a giant ladder and some strange acrobatics…
BUT we did have success (eventually)!!!
Despite the day, my heart
remained thankful….
Thankful that Matt was safe, thankful
that he was still able to make it to his cases on time, thankful for a friend who
dropped everything to rescue me, thankful for roadside assistance, thankful that
the car could be fixed, thankful to have friends birthday’s to celebrate, thankful
for camera phones, thankful the motorcycle tipped over in the garage and not in
the street, thankful for an open window to crawl through, thankful for the Word
of God that lights our path…
But I just may avoid studying all passages on trials for the rest of my life… jk ;)
