a new journey for Team Mueller has begun—in
fact, it’s well underway…
we
are currently in the process of moving to HAWAII !!!
for reals ~ Hawaii !!!
it has been a crazy, wonderful journey…
one filled with many bitter-sweet lessons
along the way…
the following are excerpts from my journal—to
help me remember… because I quickly forget…
this is the unedited, extremely condensed, shorthand
version… so just read between the lines…
June
14th
my sincerest plea to the Lord,
a plea for “overwhelming conviction”
scribbled out in messy handwriting…
“I need to
know—with my entire heart, that You want us to go, or that You want us to stay.” Because, to be honest… “I am afraid to go… I
am afraid to stay…”
Lord is it Your
desire for us to move to Hawaii???
“all the way my Savior leads me,
what have I to ask beside?
can I doubt His tender mercy,
who through life has been my Guide,
… heavenly peace, divinest comfort,
here by faith in Him to dwell
for I know whate’er befall me
Jesus doeth all things well.”

28th
Matt & I are currently reading through the
Bible chronologically…
the Lord has us in Numbers…
ya… Numbers….really….
how will I know if I’m supposed to move across
the ocean while reading through Numbers???
His words to me today,
Numbers 11:23 “…is the Lord’s power limited?”
Numbers 13 -> the people fail to believe
the Lord and take the promise land… their
fear of failure and loss keeps them from obedience, from a land that flows with
milk & honey, from a land that the Lord would have given them… Their lack of faith (=) equals open rebellion
against God.

29th
Numbers 14:9 “only do not rebel against the
Lord; and do not fear… and the Lord is with
us; do not fear…”
Number 14:11 (God) “how long will they not
believe Me, despite all the signs which I have performed in their midst?”
vs28:
Caleb “had a different spirit and has followed me fully”
Numbers 15:
“do not follow after your own heart and your own eyes, after which you
play the harlot.”
Psalm 90:12 “teach us to number our days”
Lord I want to
live a significant life, by your mercy and grace. To follow you fully. To put off the things which distract and
entangle. I confess that I am easily
caught up in the rat-race. I know moving
won’t change my heart, but You can…

30th
As a peace
about Hawaii settles over my heart, as this move seems to be of You, as we
prepare and research and wait… as we seek confirmation from You… as we look at
where we might live, there is a thought in my brain:
is this Your
correction in my life? … Are You, in Your kindness, removing what hinders me?
…. Compelling me to stop wasting my life on the trifles of this world?...
Teach me to seek first Your kingdom

1st
“in the morning,
when I rise…
…give me Jesus…

Psalm 34:4 “I sought the Lord, and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.”

taste and see that the Lord is good. how blessed is the man who takes refuge in
Him…. O fear the Lord, you His saints.
For to those who fear Him there
is no want… they who seek the Lord shall not be in want of any good thing…”
“Lord I can see
it increasingly in Matt—he wants Hawaii….
may I rest in
You… Your character, Your promises… purpose my heart to wait on You with joy
and to trust you fully in the interim … may I be confident in your unchanging
love and goodness…”

close Hawaii Lord… waves of “wow… Hawaii is an island… a long way from
family… moving into the middle of the ocean will be so much work…” crash over
me…
remove fear…
there is no place for fear, for You are GOD….

stranger in an inn, who does not have his possessions with him, but merely
procures food and spends his money for it.
For this world is merely a place of transit, where we cannot stay, we
must travel farther. Therefore, we
should use worldly goods only to shelter and sustain ourselves before we depart
to go to another land. In heaven we are
citizens; on earth we are pilgrims and guests.”

5th
Deut. 1:21 “Look, the Lord your God has set the land before you, go up and possess it
as the Lord God of your fathers has spoken to you; do not fear or be
discouraged…”
vs31-32:
“in the wilderness where you saw
how the Lord your God carries you, as a man carries his son… yet, for all
that, you did not believe the Lord your God…”

It blesses me to see how the Lord has spoken to you and Matt through His Word. Though it is so very far away, I am exciting to see what God has for you both in Hawaii, "your new mission field".
God's plans are great! His love for us immeasurable!
