Tues: Coastal Conquest the Prelude / @ Alameda Island

Northern California has one of the most beautiful sections of coastline in the world…

it’s scenic and wild shoreline -> a slice of paradise…

with beaches that simply took my breath away…

& water a thousand shades of blue…

we left today at 4am, hit “the Sbux” drive thru & rolled into our destination on Alameda Island by noon :)

Kent and Lynette’s hospitality was outta this world; their kindness & generosity made me feel felt like I was being welcomed home by old friends…

we headed out for a drive around the old naval base… & found ourselves at Rosenblum Cellars…

a converted naval base hanger, just a dash from the Alameda ferry dock…

the cellar feels uniquely Bay Area… retaining its industrial charm with a yard of barrel stacks & loading cranes silhouetted in the background…

inside, the place had a contemporary vibe, rows of double-high wine barrels, corrugated metal paneling & a gorgeous oversized sliding barn door… very cool, I dig…

there was an late afternoon stroll along the beach before dinner…
admiring the SF skyline in the background…

dinner was over-the-top-amazing!
if you’re like me, and happen to love food, look up K & L.
they seriously need to open their own restaurant… seriously
